About the Garden
Squasch Garden Studio is a space for all things textile. From custom designed garments to crochet stuffed animals, the Garden is here to help fulfill the fun and fantasies of the cosplayer, the drag queen, the trick-or-treater, the fashionista.
Everything in the Garden is made to order and requires a consult, but nothing fabric related is off the table. The goal of the Garden is to provide the community with clothing they’ve always wanted but that fast fashion doesn’t accommodate. This includes inclusive sizing, non-traditional designs and styles, repairs and alterations, and upcycling those old clothes you love but can’t use anymore into something new.
Take a look at the gallery to see some examples of previous work, but don’t let that limit you- if you have an idea, reach out. We’re here to make it work!
About the Designer
Tascha is the creator, designer, and stitcher of Squasch Garden Studio. She was taught to sew by her grandma at a young age and was immediately in love. For many years it was a simple pastime, a way to create costumes for Halloween and the Renaissance Festival (and, of course, to look fabulous in everyday wear). Then one day she built a costume for a cosplay convention, and she realized how passionate she was about creating unique, unconventional things. Tascha got a degree in costume design from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2020.
Over the years Tascha developed a passion not only for sewing but for providing people with the joy of loving what they wear. Her goal for this company is to promote self-love, self-confidence, and provide a resource for everyone who has ever felt that what they really want to be wearing just isn’t available. Mainstream fashion should never get in the way of loving what you’re wearing.
